It’s been chilly and rainy the past few days. Thankfully, we were able to purchase a load of wood today (thanks Shane!). We were on a list for the past 2 months with no signs of an actual delivery. You can’t find wood locally, our truck traveled 70km from Kiev, and we had to pay premium prices, but very relieved to have this backup source of heat (at least for one floor of our house).

We’ve installed electric boilers in both our house and the cafe – however we’re being told that electricity will also be in limited supply this winter. We’re doing our best to prepare. I’m thinking Egypt looks good for a winter-long outreach.
